General questions and answers

How can I contact you?

You can call, email, or use the secure messaging in your client portal (current clients only – if enabled).

See contact information here.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay me with cash, check, credit/debit card, or HSA/FSA card. Card information is stored securely in your client portal through SimplePractice.

What is SimplePractice?

SimplePractice is the HIPAA compliant software that I use to keep client charts, schedule appointments, and send appointment reminders. It also helps provide a secure client portal where documents can be shared and bills can be paid online.

How do I access the client portal?

Click here (or any scheduling link on my website).

Apple Store: Download the app

Android app coming soon. You’ll have to use the website for now.

Do you take insurance?

I am not in network with health insurance companies and don’t take your health insurance card. If your insurance has out-of-network benefits, you can apply for those.

Clients pay me the full fee and I provide the verification of the appointment for you to submit to your insurance company. Then, your insurance company pays you back some of the cost of the appointment. I have partnered with Reimbursify to make this process easier.

How do I get out-of-network reimbursement for my appointment?

If your insurance has out-of-network benefits, you can file for reimbursement of some of your appointment fee (amount varies by health insurance carrier/plan). You can learn about your benefits by logging into your health insurance company’s website or by calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card.

Dr. Casey can also look up basic information about your health insurance benefits at your appointment.

Medicare and Medicaid plans do not offer out-of-network benefits and reimbursement. You would be responsible for the full fee.

Gifted Healing is partnered with Reimbursify to help you file claims with your health insurance company. For a small fee, Reimbursify will do all the work of talking to your health insurance company about your claim and tell you what is needed.

Reimbursify app: Apple or Android & Google

Look up your out-of-network benefits using Reimbursify. You will likely get more detailed information from your health insurance company.

File an out-of-network (OON) reimbursement claim through Reimbursify.

You can also choose to submit claims on your own directly to your insurance company. There is usually a section on their website for you to submit this information. This option is free, but you do all the work of talking to the insurance company.
